Lyssara Vaelune, born during the rare alignment of both moons, carries the Mark of Dual Eclipse, a birthright said to grant her the ability to walk between dreams and waking reality. As a child, she was trained among the Vaelune Circle, one of the oldest lunar tribes, who honor both the gentle light of Nyrra, the Maiden Moon, and the fierce glow of Sarethar, the Blood Moon. From them, she learned to hunt not with sight, but with intuition, listening to the breath of the forest and the pulse of celestial tides.
The Nyrrathi believe that the moonlight reveals truth and shadow conceals wisdom. Lyssara’s magic, known as Lunaris Veil, channels both: light to heal, shadow to deceive. When she calls upon the Moonbond, her skin glows with ethereal luminescence, and phantom wolves, echoes of her ancestors, manifest to fight beside her.
Her tribe was torn apart during the Veil Wars, when Evervale’s emissaries sought to harness lunar essence for their own magic. In the ensuing chaos, Lyssara’s family vanished, and her Moonbond fractured. Now she wanders between tribes and ruins, seeking the Celestial Mirror, a relic said to restore the balance of the twin moons and heal the broken bonds of her people.
Lyssara is a quiet storm, patient as moonrise, fierce as eclipse. Though her heart aches for her lost kin, she remains loyal to the ancient creed of the Nyrrathi: “We are the light that walks within the shadow.”
